My 3 year old son gets huge white head pimples on his legs and butt. Does anyone know how to stop it or why?

He usually has about 3 or 4 at a time and they take a while to go away. They are very large for such a little boy.My 3 year old son gets huge white head pimples on his legs and butt. Does anyone know how to stop it or why?
If they look like pimples and have a white head, they are likely not a rash but a bacterial infection. Do they recur frequently? The most common cause of multiple small abscesses (which that sounds like) is a staph infection- likely MRSA. Very common in general, and particularly in children of that age. A number of people are MRSA carrieres, meaning they harbor the bacteria on their bodies. Not a big deal in general, but does increase the risk of getting these abscesses. Next time they pop up take your child to the doctor. He will most likely prescribe antibiotics. If any of these get big enough to require drainage the doctor would culture them as well. If not, he may do a nasal swab to culture for MRSA. If they continue coming back after a round of antibiotics, he/she may also want to culture the family and treat anyone who is MRSA positive. My 3 year old son gets huge white head pimples on his legs and butt. Perhaps it is really more a rash than an acne outbreak. Maybe something (clothing, detergent, etc.) is irritating the skin. I would consult your son's pediatrician.
it could be eczema
